We just received pictures of Isha from another family who brought their daughter home from the same orphanage. Isha and her friend Riya are about 6 months apart in age. The ironic part is her family lives about 5 miles away from us in Oakland. We are very excited to get to know them and for Isha and Riya to have a something in common with each other.

Isha has changed quite a bit from the first picture we received. I am guessing in the first picture we received she is about 11 months. She is over 20 months now. She's taller than Riya, but still pretty small for her age. I was told Isha was a bit overwhelmed by the family coming in and had to be taken out of the room.
We are still waiting for the No Objection Certificate (NOC) clearance and we've been waiting almost 7 weeks. We are very nervous, but we are told our paperwork just got mixed in with some paperwork that has been delayed due to new rules (that don't apply to us) and there is no reason why we won't get clearance. We should hear something in the next 3-5 days. Please keep your fingers crossed!

She's in the hot pink pants.
